Indoors, you can head to the Hippodrome in Gainesville and see their latest production. "The Tempest", by William Shakespeare, is being performed on the mainstage. The play, written by Shakespeare in the early 1600's, is described as "an adventure of revenge and redemption" involving a storm and shipwrecked royalty on a remote, mysterious island. Though not popular when it was first produced, it's viewed today as one of Shakespeares' greatest works. Show times are tonight at 8, Saturday at 5 and 8:30 pm, and Sunday at 2 and 7 pm at the Hipp in downtown Gainesville. Website
