The "Free Fridays" Concert Series continues tonight in downtown Gainesville. Tonight... a tribute to Jamaican reggae superstar Bob Marley. The Gainesville band Urban Renewal will be performing the tribute. Marley sold over 75 million records during his lifetime, a life that was cut short by cancer in 1981 (he was only 36). "Legend", the greatest hits album by his band Bob Marley and the Wailers, sold more than 25 million copies worldwide. The music begins at 8 pm and goes until 10 tonight at the Bo Diddley Community Plaza. Website
