Doctor Tecla Myrick from the Alachua County Animal Services talks about pet allergies and how you can help your furry friends.
The signs that your pet is itchy and dealing with allergies are constant licking, scratching and chewing.
The most common allergies are fleas and food.
If you see signs of allergies you should make sure that their is excellent flea control and take your pet(s) to your vet and try to figure out what is causing the itchyness.
Allergies are usually a life long battle, but can be controlled, giving your pet a long, comfortable, relatively itch free life.
